Lush Cupcake Face Mask - REVIEW

Image
Fellow Lushies and Lushies-to-be, today I decided to do a review on one of Lushes most famous face masks- the Cupcake face mask. I know, I know- I promised this review a while ago, but I have finally got around to it! Now this face mask is advertised as a mask for oily, teenage skin (which I have/am neither) BUT I've been having a few issues with breakouts and red, painful skin recently so I thought I might give it a go, just in case it helped my poor, painful face. Usually I would go for my face mask holy grail (the Mask of Magnaminy- my review here ) but I thought that it wouldn't hurt to try something new. I've heard so many amazing things about how good this masks smells, and I've got to say I'm a little disappointment. By how everyone raved about it, I was almost expecting the scent of a cake factory to waft through my house when I opened the tin, however that was not the case. The mix does however have a similar scent to chocolate cake mix, with a hint of spea...

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Image
I know I promised on Instagram that my next post would be my Lush cupcake face mask review, but I was tagged by the amazing Liv Cole from LivColey to do this tag so I thought I'd answer her questions before I upload my next review. I suggest taking the time to check out Livs blog, you can read her answers to this tag here . 1) What is your favourite TV show and why? (you're only allowed to choose 1) I don't really watch a lot of TV- however I guess my favorite I've seen has been Game of Thrones. I honestly hated it for the first few episodes, but it got really interesting after a while. The series are full of odd twists and turns, sickening acts of betrayal and love and is completely and utterly captivating.  2) What was the best thing that happened to you (blogging wise) in 2014? I only started blogging about halfway through 2014- so there hasn't been a lot that I've either been offered or invited to. I was privileged to do a review of clothing for Bad Luxe Bo...

My mini 'pamper' evening after a stressful day

Image
I love a good bath and a nice bit of relaxation, however after a long day at work with things to be done I don't always get the time to really and truly pamper myself. However there are a few things I do and product I use to help myself wind down. Firsts things first, I remove my makeup (obviously) using the simple cleansing wipes. It literally takes all of a minute and is so gentle to my skin and eyes.  I decided to wash my hair today as well, so I quickly jumped into the shower and shampooed, toned, conditioned my hair before jumping out a putting a hair mask through the ends of my hair. I chose the Schwarzkopf deep nutrition intensive care mask with shea and cashmere. I'm yet to determine my feelings towards this product, but I'll do a review once I decide. Leaving the mask in my hair, I applied the Lush cupcake face mask and started running myself a relaxing bubble bath   In my bath I used the Lush drummer drumming reusable bubble bar and a few strawberry and cream sce...

A spoonful of Motivation- 10 Reasons to smile!

Image
Holidays are ending, we're having to go back to work, school and Uni. We're bummed because we've already broken our new years resolution and the bills are needing to be paid. Your cat no longer wants to spend time with you and you spilled your coffee this morning. There are so many things that can drag us down, but what about those things that build you up? Here's 10 reasons to help keep you smiling after a long, hard day! 1. Every day is different Just because today was shitty, doesn't mean tomorrow will be. So you spilled coffee over your new dress? You can easily wash it and wear it tomorrow. Who knows, you might bump into your crush tomorrow and wow them in your stunning dress! ;) 2. You are beautiful This is one of those cliche things that everyone says, but it's true. If you're having a bad day or feeling down about yourself, pick one good thing you really like about the way you look and focus on that. Nothing beats your amazing brow game, silky smooth...

Liebster Award round 2!

Image
Today I jumped online to write up a few reviews for you guys when I found I had a notification from Chelle from Destination 22 letting me know she had nominated me to do the Liebseter Award. I have been tagged in this before (you can find my first one here ) and feel extremely honored to be tagged again- so thank you Chelle! :D The rules are: - Thank and link the person who nominated you. - Answer the questions given by the nominator. - Nominate 11 other bloggers (who have less than 200 followers) and link them. - Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer. - Notify all nominees via social media/blogs. Questions from Chelle; - If you could only listen to 3 bands for the rest of your life who would they be? This is extremely difficult to answer as I don't really have a favorite band- I really just like songs not particularly the artist. Top 3 songs I've been loving (and I really don't know why) is Fifth Harmony's BO$$, Sam Smiths Stay with me and Albatross by Ar...

e.l.f Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow Review

Image
It's been a while since I've sat down with a product and mulled over my overall thoughts and, since I'm on holidays, I've decided to do just that.  The e.l.f Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow range features six colours (from what I can see on the  e.l.f Australia website ), these being Confetti, Celebration, Soiree, Gala, Festivity and Party. Unfortunately I was only able to get my hands on Celebration, Gala and Festivity at my local K-mart at a cost of $8 each, although I am pretty happy with the colours I found.  Gala Celebration Festivity Every colour is extremely sparkly, containing tiny flecks of a silver shimmer. They don't have much of a scent, which is fine because a) it's on your eyes and b) you wont be smelling it constantly like you would a lipstick, but it's still good to know that the product doesn't completely stink.  Top: Celebration Middle: Gala Bottom: Festivity The texture is smooth and creamy, feeling almost like a mousse texture. It is ...
