It's been a while since I did a tag post and I've had this one sitting in my inventory of post ideas for a while now so I thought it might be fun to do. Tonight I'll be knuckling down and taking photos for blog posts and scheduling them- but until then I hope you forgive me for my 'laziness' and enjoy this post. 1. Do you have any pets? 7 reasons to consider a week without Makeup

Image
To many of us, make up is just another part of every day life. We make time in our days to apply and remove it, plan ahead as to what look we want to achieve, match it to our outfits and spend more money on it then we probably should. It has the ability to make us feel comfortable and confident, to look the way we want to look, to express our creativity and ability. That being said, not wearing make up has it's perks too. Here's 7 reasons why you should consider a week without makeup. 1. More sleep It's obvious that you'd get at least another half an hour sleep in in the morning, but imagine you've had a long day, you're tired and you have new episodes of orange is the new black to watch. You accidentally fall asleep on the couch without taking your makeup off. But that's not a problem, because today you didn't wear makeup which means you can drag your half asleep butt to bed without a worry. 2. Goodbye morning breakouts Okay, so you may still get these,...

My 'go to' lip combination

Image
I wish I was one of those brave people who could rock bright red or berry lipstick everyday but as it turns out, I'm not as bold and brave in my every day life as some others are. And whilst I do tend to lean towards a nude lip for everyday life, I do prefer a pop of colour of my lips, even if it isn't as bold and beautiful as a classic red lippy. My solution? Here's my go to lip combination for a 'bold nude' lip.  (Excuse the dodgy application) Lip liner: Oak by MAC Lip colour: Rimmel Provacolips in 730, Make Your Move What's your favorite lip combination?  Until next time... xx

australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream- Review & Swatches //Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Mi-A-Mee & Doo-Bai

Image
Ever since australis came out with the Velourlips lip creams I have been all about that matte. I have done a review here on the Hon-O-Loo-Loo lip cream, however I don't think I gave this product enough credit. So, without further ado, here is my updated review on the australis Velourlips lip creams- with swatches of Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Mi-A-Mee & Doo-Bai. (left to right-  Hon-O-Loo-Loo, Ho-Chee-Min, Mi-A-Mee & Doo-Bai) In my last review , I mentioned that I found the smell to be an odd fruity scent and I have finally figured out what it smells like. Grape bubblegum. Now I know so many people love this scent, but personally I'm not a huge fan of the sugary, sweet grape scent, although I don't find the smell repulsive, I'm just not excited about it. The formula is absolutely remarkable. The product is smooth and glides onto the lips effortlessly, applying as a malleable cream and drying to a beautiful matte finish. If you have dry lips or are worried abo...

Lush Ayesha Fresh Face Mask Review

Image
Following the stress of finding a house, packing and all the added extras when it comes to getting a new job, I've found myself reaching out to face masks to give my skin (and self) a little pick me up. One of the ones I've found myself reaching for is the Ayesha Fresh Face Mask from Lush. I'm not going to lie, I was VERY unsure as to whether I would every try this mask as I could not stand the scent the first time I smelt it. The silliest thing is, I don't even know what it smells like. Whilst it smells almost woody, I wouldn't describe it as woody. All I can say is I found the smell quite over-powering and it made me think twice about my purchase. Set I wouldn't put something that smelt this way on my face, I palmed it off to my boyfriend. After a few uses and seeing how soft his skin was after use, I decided to cave in and give this mask a go and, now that I have used it, I've got accustomed to the smell. As this is one of the masks you need to keep chill...
